Matt Berry
Matt Berry is a celebrated actor, writer, and musician who can currently be seen in Taika Waititi’s FX comedy series, WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. Matt also stars as “Steven Toast” in TOAST OF LONDON for Channel 4, which he co-created.
In 2015, Matt won a BAFTA for his performance in TOAST, and the show was nominated for 6 British Comedy Awards, winning Best New Comedy Programme. Previously, Matt starred in YEAR OF THE RABBIT, THE IT CROWD for five seasons on the UK’s Channel 4, as well as in BBC2’s THE MIGHTY BOOSH, Channel 4’s GARTH MERENGHI’S DARK PLACE, and BBC3’s SNUFF BOX. He also appeared in the final season of COMMUNITY. Matt also made a memorable appearance on PORTLANDIA, starred opposite Sam Rockwell in MOON, and appeared in Focus Features’ ONE DAY. He is a talented voice actor and musician, who recorded introductions for the 2012 London Olympic Closing Ceremonies and composed the music for AB/DC: A ROCK OPERA, SNUFF BOX, and TOAST OF LONDON. Matt has also released three albums to much critical acclaim. He recently appeared in Jim Hosking’s feature AN EVENING WITH BEVERLY LUFF LINN and can currently be seen reprising his acclaimed role as Steven Toast in TOAST OF TINSELTOWN.
