Conleth Hill

Conleth is best known for playing Lord Varys in the critically-acclaimed HBO series GAME OF THRONES. He will next be seen in the Agatha Christie adaptation of WHY DIDN’T THEY ASK EVANS? (Britbox). Other television credits include DUBLIN MURDERS (BBC/Starz), HANG UPS (Slam Films/Channel 4), a much loved turn as Elsie in Peter Kay’s CAR SHARE (BBC) and historical drama VIENNA BLOOD (BBC). Conleth’s film credits include SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN alongside Ewan McGregor, Woody Allen’s WHATEVER WORKS, political drama OFFICIAL SECRETS and most recently Claire Dunne’s critically acclaimed drama HERSELF. He can currently be seen in MAGPIE MURDERS (Britbox) and HOLDING (ITV), based on Graham Norton’s novel of the same name.

Conleth has worked extensively in theatre, including the Olivier-nominated West End production of WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, QUARTERMAINE’S TERMS (West End), THE CHERRY ORCHARD (National Theatre) and MACBETH (Berkeley Rep) alongside Frances McDormand. Conleth has won Olivier Awards for Best Actor for his roles in both THE PRODUCERS (West End) and STONES IN HIS POCKETS (West End / Toronto / Broadway). He was most recently seen in THE ANTIPODES at The National Theatre.
